Bio

As a student leader at the University of Eldoret, I have devoted my time and energy to advocacy and activism, striving to create meaningful change for students and the community at large. Serving as the chairperson of the Students for Natural Resource Conservation (SNARCO) Luo Affiliate Group, I have championed environmental sustainability and natural resource management, empowering young people to take an active role in addressing the ecological crises of our time. I have also been at the forefront of campaigns advocating for equity and fairness, challenging systemic issues such as tribalism in resource allocation and advocating for improved healthcare services for students. Beyond campus, my activism has extended to fighting for the fundamental rights of people, especially marginalized groups. I have been vocal in calling for an end to femicide, advocating for gender equity, and ensuring that women’s voices are heard and valued in society. Additionally, I have actively spoken out against government brutality, using my platform to demand justice and accountability for victims of human rights violations. These causes are deeply personal to me, as I believe that no society can thrive without justice, fairness, and respect for human dignity. One of my most impactful initiatives was the 'Differently Enabled' project under the Millennium Fellowship programme, where I worked to encourage students with hearing impairments to pursue STEM courses. By organizing impactful meetings, participating in idea competitions, and fostering a culture of inclusivity and collaboration, I have sought to inspire a generation of changemakers. Whether addressing environmental concerns, social injustices, or systemic failures, my advocacy is driven by a desire to leave my university and community better than I found them.
