Bio

I am Boaz Omato, a student at Kabarak University pursuing a degree in Economics and Mathematics, and a passionate leader committed to driving change through innovation, sustainability, and community service. Over the years, I have taken on diverse leadership roles that have allowed me to empower others, solve pressing challenges, and inspire transformation at the institutional, community, and regional levels. As the Deputy Minister of Projects and Programs at AUSP International, I have led initiatives that bring together youth from across Africa. This includes organizing a virtual partnership training program that united young leaders from different countries and championing leadership sessions on Agenda 2030, equipping participants with the knowledge and tools to contribute to sustainable development. At Kabarak University, I serve as the Deputy President of Enactus, where I co-founded impactful projects such as Autorrig, which integrates technology into agriculture to empower farmers, and Glatext, which promotes environmental conservation by recycling textile and glass waste. These initiatives not only address societal and environmental challenges but also inspire others to pursue innovation for a better future. Through my leadership in Save the Sicklers, I have advanced healthcare for individuals with sickle cell disease by spearheading initiatives like the ThermoSoothe™ device, providing practical, life-changing solutions to enhance patient care. As the Hult Prize Campus Director, I have mentored students to develop entrepreneurial solutions to social problems, fostering a culture of creativity and impact-driven innovation. My dedication to service is reflected in my involvement in the Scouts movement, where I serve as the Vice Chair of Scouts in Rongai Sub County, a member of the Bata Crew in Molo Sub County, and the Captain of the Kabarak University Scouts Association. I have led community-based initiatives such as tree planting in our region, peace promoting initiatives like International Peace Day, outreach programs to children’s homes, and proposals to revitalize scouting through the introduction of new teams and programs. In addition, as the Vice Chair of KUPPRAC and a Brand Ambassador for KESA, I have championed research, policy discussions, and capacity-building initiatives. My participation in events like the National Economic Debates highlights my commitment to addressing economic challenges through evidence-based solutions. Across all my endeavors, my impact is rooted in empowering individuals and communities, fostering collaboration, and inspiring others to pursue excellence. My leadership journey reflects a commitment to making a meaningful difference, embodying the values of unity, service, and innovation.
